Good news, to all aspiring applicants, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is now open for new applicants to join their organization for Officers and Non-officers

What is PCG Function?

The Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) is an agency attached by the Department of Transportation (DoTr) mandated and responsible to perform;

1.Maritime Search and Rescue,

2.Maritime Law Enforcement,

3.Maritime Safety,

4.Marine Environmental Protection and

5.Maritime Security.

Interested applicants are advised to submit their application at any PCG Regional Office and District Offices Nationwide.

HOW TO JOIN THE PCG? Qualification and Requirements to be Process,

Here are the step by step guidelines how to join at PCG.

For Officers:

1. A natural-born citizen of the Philippines;

2. A Good Moral Character;

3. Must be 21-24 years old;

4. Single;

5. At least 5’0″ in height (for male and female);

6. Graduate of any four-year course;

7. CSC Professional Civil Service Eligibility Passer (rating of 82% and above); or PRC licensed Passer.

8. Physically and mentally fit; and

9. Has passed the PCG Aptitude Battery Test (PCGABT).

For Non-Officers

1. A natural-born citizen of the Philippines;

2. A good moral character;

3. Single;

4. At least 18-26 years old;

5. At least 5’0″ in height (for male and female);

6. Has earned at least 72 units; or Senior high school graduate provided that he/she has completed TESDA courses;

7. Physically and mentally fit; and

8. Has passed the PCG Aptitude Battery Test (PCGABT).

For Battery Aptitude Test Requirements

Submit the following documents to the nearest PCG district to schedule your PCG Aptitude Battery Test (ABT):

1. PSA Birth Certificate

2. Transcript of Records

3. Diploma and/or TESDA Certificate

Take the Aptitude Battery Test

Applicants attire during exam, He/She should wear the following:

  1. White shirt

2. Maong pants

4. White socks

5. Rubber shoes.

NOTE: Examinees should in Proper Hair-Cut and Clean Nails.

Applicants who will pass the ABT, PFT, Medical, Dental and Neurological exams shall then undergo the final deliberation.

After passing the PCG ABT, applicants shall proceed to their respective PCG district to take the Physical Fitness Test (PFT).

The recruitment board members will determine who among the applicants are qualified to take the Coast Guard Officer’s Course (CGOC) or Coast Guardman’s  Course (CGMC) training.

Important Note:
Applicants shall shoulder all the expenses of their medical exam conducted in the authorized medical center of the PCG District.
